Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is becoming standard equipment on today’s new vehicles. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are designed to assist drivers to prevent collisions by displaying alerts, providing camera images or by taking instantaneous control of the vehicle. Pearl City Auto Works is utilizing the Autel MaxiSys ADAS as it provides the original complete diagnostic functionality, comprehensive and precise ADAS calibration. With this calibration tool and accurate software, Autel MaxiSys ADAS is an ideal calibration tool for our repair shop.
Functions:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
This function controls the vehicle to automatically adjust vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead. Control is based on sensor information from on-board sensors. - Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
This function warns the driver when a vehicle begins to move out of a freeway lane. Designed to minimize collisions from driver error, distractions and drowsiness. - Night Vision (NV)
This function uses a thermographic camera to increase a driver’s perception and seeing distance in darkness or poor weather conditions beyond the reach of the vehicle’s headlights. - Around View Monitoring (AVM)
This function provides a virtual 360-degree, bird’s eye view of the vehicle. It assists drivers to park more easily by better understanding the vehicle’s surroundings. - Blind Spot Detection (BSD)
This function helps with a vehicle-based sensor function that detects & sends a proximity warning if other vehicles are located in the vehicle’s blind spot. - Rear Collision Warning (RCW)
This function with braking at a standstill to avoid rear-end collisions. Alerts when engine started and cannot turn off. Warns driver of a vehicle approaching from behind by rapid signal flash. - HUD - Head Up Display (HUD)
This function helps with a vehicle speedometer & navigation transparent display on windshield.
